EMS-based Climate Reporting
Do you use too much energy on the climate reporting?
Save time and energy on tracking and documenting your company’s carbon footprint
Taking responsibility for the climate is a significant task. But it pays off when the accounts are settled.
With our EMS platform for digital energy management, we simplify and automate the task of data collection and documentation for your climate reporting.
With digital data collection in MinEnergi2, you get
An automated process that reduces the workload
Through digital remote reading and integrations with various data sources, consumption data is collected and reported into the correct categories without human involvement
Insight into and data on your CO2 emissions
You calculate your climate impact in accordance with the GHG Protocol’s scopes 1, 2, and 3, providing you with a CO2 figure for your total consumption-based climate impact within water, energy, and waste.
An investment that pays for itself
Digital data collection for the climate accounts requires an investment in the EMS platform MinEnergi2. An investment that quickly turns into a profit with a payback period of 1-2 years.
MinEnergi2 Climate Reporting
Easy and automated carbon tracking and climate reporting
A climate report is an inventory of the company’s greenhouse gas and CO2 emissions, allowing an overview of the company’s carbon footprint. We provide data collection and data foundation for consumption-based reporting within the environmental category. You receive realtime data on your CO2 emissions, documented in an auto-generated climate report – directly from the system.

Build-your-own data hierarchy for targeted insights and data.
The more you measure, the better insights and targeted reporting you achieve. You are involved when we ‘build’ your data hierarchy, so you measure exactly the scope that suits your company.
A climate report can be generated for your company as a whole or at underlying levels. You can zoom in on selected buildings, specific areas within a property, a production machine, etc.
This way, you obtain consumption and emissions data at the company level, for a single building, a specific floor or area (e.g., warehouse or production), or for a production machine if you want to know the CO2 emissions per unit.
At the same time, it’s possible to use unique emission factors down to the building level, allowing for the correct emission factors to be applied from each of your suppliers and making the climate report more accurate for your specific company.
The company’s carbon footprint is calculated according to the GHG Protocol
The climate report is generated automatically in accordance with the GHG protocol, drawing directly on the company’s/the building’s actual energy consumption. In this way, it is possible to map and display the company’s/the building’s overall climate impact from its energy consumption.
Energy data and consumption are automatically loaded and displayed in DKK, kWh, tCO2, and tCO2/m3. The data is divided according to the GHG Protocol’s scopes 1, 2, and 3. Other climate-related activities can be manually registered, allowing you to add data to the climate report in MinEnergi2.
Climate and environmental data for ESG reporting
ESG reporting is the successor to CSR reporting and has been influential in recent years.
ESG has 3 reporting tracks (Environment, Social, Governance). We exclusively provide data foundation in the Environment category. Including
- Energy consumption (electricity, heat, cooling, natural gas, etc.)
- Renewable energy production (wind turbines, solar panels, surplus heat, etc.)
- Water consumption
- Scope 1 & 2 (according to the GHG Protocol)
- Scope 3 (according to the GHG Protocol) to a certain extent
- Waste
Climate and environmental data for CSRD reporting
As part of the ‘Green Deal,’ the European Commission has decided to increase the requirements for reporting on companies’ sustainability. Starting from 2024, all large companies must report on their efforts towards sustainable transition, including within their value chain, and provide comprehensive information on consumption, emissions, etc.
This means that most companies, to some extent, are affected in terms of emissions data when directly impacted companies demand sustainability information from their suppliers to meet their own CSRD requirements.
The climate report module keeps track of your company’s carbon emissions and ensures that the calculations are performed according to a recognized method (the GHG protocol).
The CSRD directive is the ‘next-generation sustainability reporting,’ which includes a requirement for a climate account, for reporting on companies’ environmental impact.
We calculate the climate impact in scopes 1, 2, and 3, thereby providing you with a figure for the company’s total burden. We can provide emission data on energy consumption (electricity, heat, and cooling), as well as resource consumption (water, transport, and waste) as data foundation for your scope 1 and 2 activities.
CSRD has 4 reporting tracks (General, Environment, Social, Governance). We exclusively provide data foundation in the Environment category, which is consumption-based, and consolidate it into an account that you can include in your overall CSRD reporting, including the following ESRS:
- E1 Energy Consumption
- E3 Water Consumption
- E5 Waste
Other types of metrics and data sources include waste and fuel consumption
If your company has chosen to use other meter types – waste or fuel meters, for example – the consumption these meters register is likewise included in the climate report, in line with the scopes in which the selected meter type is included.
It could also include data sources from other software solutions such as waste management systems, fleet management systems, building management systems, etc. MinEnergi2 is an open and fully integrable platform, with the ability to integrate through APIs with other systems in your environment and climate reporting setup.
Choose a flexible and integrable solution
The system’s ability to integrate with other systems is important when it comes to data sources for your climate reports. MinEnergi2 is an open and fully integrable platform, with the ability to integrate through APIs with other systems.
MinEnergi2 can serve as both the primary and secondary system in your solution. As the core system in your overall carbon footprint calculation, we receive supplementary data from other systems. As a supplementary system, we provide energy data to the primary system you have chosen.
